Native species and their ecosystems offer other research opportunities.

 

Gill 'Ewa Lands regularly facilitates agencies performing research on or near its property relating to rare native land snails and the O'ahu 'elepaio.

 

For example, bird populations at Pālehua are being identified using bioacoustics. Read more about our bioacoustics research here. 

 

Archaeological research opportunities are also available. A number of cultural sites dating prior to Western contact exist on GEL’s Pālehua lands. Read more here.
