Place-based Learning

In partnership with Camp Pālehua and the Mālama Learning Center, Gill 'Ewa Lands offers schools and other groups access to an interpretation of cultural, ecological and historical resources at Pālehua.

Among the most popular cultural resources is a square structure composed of 40-meter (yard) long stone walls known as "The Pā."  For an interpretive guide to this easily-accessible and  fascinating site, please click here. Teachers and group leaders can also request hard copies from your guide.

Advance reservations required. Contact Camp Pālehua for more information.

If you have made a reservation for a Pā tour, here's some information to help you prepare for your visit.

If you are interested in the archaeological research being done at The Pā, please also see our Archaeology page.
